~ Jumping into June with 'H' Remedies ~
Made from Golden Seal, Hydrastis canadensis, acts especially on mucous membranes and is a medicine we might consider for sinus and respiratory issues as well as gastrointestinal complaints.
Hydrastis 6c can be very helpful for postnasal drip. It is taken twice daily or every three hours when symptoms are severe.
Hepar sulphuris is made from Calcium Sulphide and sometimes referred to as a homeopathic antibiotic because of its broad healing action. It's an excellent remedy to have on hand for everything from acne and ear infections to sinusitis and strep throat.
Can you treat a dental abscess or gum inflammation without resorting to antibiotics? Yes, you can! Hepar sulph 6x or 6c taken every three hours if severe and then twice daily until relieved is an excellent way to heal naturally.
One of the first homeopathic medicines we may think of when there are disorders of the brain, perhaps following a concussion, coma, or stroke, is Helleborus niger made from Black Hellebore.
Helleborus 30c taken twice daily can be used for brain fog when there is marked weakness in memory and body. An indifference or apathy may also be present.
Made from St. John's Wort, Hypericum perforatum, is excellent for puncture wounds or injuries to nerve rich areas. From a badly stubbed toe to dental procedures, to spinal pain, this remedy can be a life saver to have on hand in several potencies.
Often taken frequently such as every one to three hours for intense pain, Hypericum 200c is an effective, safe, and non-habit-forming way to get relief. Sometimes higher potencies are needed for severe or chronic pain, so be sure to work with someone more experienced or a homeopath if you need guidance.
