Not That... This! Mother's Day Edition
Menstrual cramps can range from mild to intense, leaving women to perhaps believe their only option is to grab ibuprofen, acetaminophen, or a product like Pamprin for cramps. Success Story Spotlight
The story I want to share this month is one which is still in progress, and one which I have written about before. Back in July of 2025 I shared the process and results of working to uproot our son's spring allergies. Due to an abrupt ending to his symptoms in mid-May we were fairly confident that his allergies were a thing of the past.
Unfortunately, as we got a bit further into April this year he began to exhibit the telltale signs of returning symptoms. I'd be lying if I didn't say I was very disappointed! However, as I began giving him the remedies which help him through these symptoms best, I also began carefully observing how they were presenting this year and taking note of little shifts or improvements as compared to years past. These were things like: the frequency with which he needed to dose the remedies was less often, the intensity of the itching was much less, and he wasn't nearly as miserable, and I'm just going to say it, owly, as he has been in years past.
My disappointment quickly turned to determination. The fact is I have seen these remedies work time and time again, there are clear signs that his allergies are improving, and perhaps most importantly, what other options are there really?! I'm not going to turn to pharmaceuticals or shots or over-the-counter 'band-aids' that would likely drive the chronic issue to a deeper state.
So this month I wanted to encourage you that success rarely looks like a straight shot to the bullseye. It can often be two or three steps forward and then a step or two back. It's easy to get frustrated, especially in the beginning when we are newer at using these medicines. However, I have come to realize that each case, each experience, hones my skills in observation, improves my ability to take careful notes, and challenges me to know the remedies just a little bit deeper. One of the things I most love about homeopathy is that this natural medicine gently stimulates the body's own power to heal. It doesn't act ON the body, but rather acts WITH the body.
So let me say it again, I want to encourage you not to give up! Keep learning, lean on your fellow students of homeopathy, and press on.
