~ Materia Medica 'G' Remedies ~
Galphimia glauca is a lesser known remedy made from a wild plant which grows in Mexico. The primary use for this homeopathic medicine is for treatment of hay fever. Galphimia 30c taken every three hours can be considered when symptoms present with spasmodic 'machine gun' sneezing and an itchy upper palate.
Gelsemium sempervirens is made from yellow jasmine and one of its chief actions is on conditions which include a grand fatigue or paralysis. This remedy is also an amazing help for anticipatory anxiety. Pronounced anxiety before things like a test, a performance, or going to the dentist could be wonderfully helped by employing Gelsemium 30c, twice daily or every two to three hours if quite severe.
Made from Nitroglyserine, Glonoinum is most often thought of in relation to cardiac and vascular complaints. When heat exhaustion presents with glazed or glassy eyes and a racing or weak pulse, Glonoinum 30c taken every three to four hours as needed may be considered.
Graphites is made from black lead and is primarily known as a skin remedy. It is useful for skin that suppurates and has a tendency to produce excoriations, cracks and fissures. Though not usually the first remedy used, Graphites 200c can be taken every three days or twice weekly for conditions such as eczema, ringworm, and dandruff along with other well chosen remedies. I love the Graphites & Calendula cream made by Helios pharmacy for topical use.
Gunpowder is a combination remedy of carbon, sulphur, and potassium nitrate which is known as black gunpowder. This remarkable remedy is used for all kinds of septic wounds or blood poisoning. If an injury goes septic, swift and effective treatment is critical. There are several homeopathic remedies one might consider using, but Gunpowder 30c taken twice daily or as often as every three to four hours is one which may be used to help the bodies healing process along.
