Wholly Homeopathy Happenings

January 2026 Edition: by Wendy Dickens

Not This. Try That! Let's Swap Out Some of Those OTC Drugs in 2026!

It's a new month, a new year, and the time when our goals often reflect the sentiment, out with the old and in with the new. It's with this idea in mind that I am introducing a new series titled - "Not This. Try that." January is the cold and flu edition! If good natural options to support healing the body is important to you, I hope to give you some good ideas for stocking your medicine cabinet this month (and with several more installments over the year).

Sniffles and cold symptoms got you down? Drop the DayQuil or Mucinex and reach for Cold Calm® instead. With natural ingredients that target cold symptoms at every stage, this non-drowsy product is a must!

The mucus and coughing that can come along with colds can be a real pain in the neck. Why not replace products like Robitussin with Chestal® Cough or Cold Syrup, or Meltaways. This is one of my favorite products, which our family has found to be very effective for coughs and colds.

When influenza strikes, you may feel like you've been hit by a truck. Put down the Advil or Tylenol and instead consider Arnica montana 200c or Oscillococcinum® for aches and pains associated with the flu.

A sore throat can make even speaking painful, never mind eating or drinking anything. There are better options than Chloraceptic or cough drops! Try Throat Calm® in either tablets or a throat spray when that first scratchy throat symptom hits.

What are the benefits for joining one of my Study Groups?

  • As one of Joette's Discovery Ambassadors, I have exclusive access to introductory videos she recorded for each lesson when she launched the 2nd edition of Gateway to Practical Homeopathy I. We view these at the beginning of each lesson.

  • I offer a discounted fee for my Study Groups when you register for both Gateway I and II. Please contact me for the coupon code.

  • Once you have taken a Gateway class with me you have lifetime access to return for that class as often as you like free of charge.

  • I have a private Signal chat group for my past and current study group members so we can help each other with homeopathic questions, remedies, etc. My students find this to be one of the more valuable "perks"!

  • As a Discovery Ambassador I am able to offer my students special discounted pricing off Joette's protocol courses.

  • I offer a 10% discount on my consultation services to past and current students, though in the interest of full disclosure, I am not taking on any new clients at this time.

Success Story Spotlight

The following is from an email I received last month from one of my students. I'm sharing here with her permission.

"Tonight’s lesson reminded me of my 3 year old grandson’s incident a few months ago. He got a large blister on his big toe from insisting on wearing boots that were far too big for him and would not wear socks. My poor daughter-in-law had a new baby and a husband out on wild-land fires for weeks at a time and had never dealt with anything like this. She came to our home one evening out of desperation not knowing what to do because it kept getting worse and now he wouldn’t even walk on it. I gasped when I saw it! His poor toe had become so infected and even had a red line starting up his shin. I sprung into action with the little bit of homeopathy knowledge I had managed to acquire at that point. I recommended Hepar sulph 30c as that’s what I had along with Epsom salt soaks 3x a day and it was monumentally better the next morning. She was still very nervous about the whole thing so had booked a doctor’s appointment. I told her absolutely go to the doctor to get a solid diagnosis and even volunteered to go along for support.

Of course, the Nurse Practitioner took one look and offered antibiotics but didn’t seem overly concerned at this point. As we walked out, I kindly told my daughter-in-law to go ahead and get the prescription, have it on hand if things should take a turn for the worse, but at the same time suggested we keep doing what we’re doing and see where it takes us? She wholeheartedly agreed. The antibiotics were purchased and are probably still perched on a high shelf somewhere in her home unopened. His toe continued to make rapid progress and nobody had to take antibiotics! Within a week he was as good as new."                                                                                                                                                                                                      ~ Lori W.
