Giving Thanks and Eee-sing into the Holidays ~

In November we will look at just a few E remedies in the Materia Medica.

Euphrasia is a good homeopathic medicine to keep on hand during the height of hay fever and allergies, especially with symptoms involving the eyes. Made from Eyebright, Euphrasia officinalis 30c taken every few hours is an excellent choice for watery eyes with burning lachrymation or the sensation of sand in the eyes.

This herbal remedy is rich in silica and helps to strengthen connective tissue including bones, cartilage, skin, hair, nails, and more. Equisetum, also called Horsetail, is most often used in mother tincture or herbal form. It is wonderful for disorders of the bladder and kidneys in particular but also sometimes used for hair loss and weak nails.

This E remedy, which is made from Bone-set, is an important one to keep on hand for when a particularly bad cold or flu strikes. When deep aching bones during illness are keeping you down, look no further than Eupatorium perfoliatum. This remedy is usually taken in a 30c or a 200c, every few hours while pain is present.

Success Story Spotlight

This month's story from one of my students is amazing! What an encouragement to be patient as we wait and watch for healing.

A few weeks ago my 13 yo son developed a raw, oozing, and rapidly growing sore under his chin after wrestling practice. When I discovered it, it was nickel-sized. Assuming it was a staph infection/impetigo (based on past outbreaks in our family) I employed the Banerji protocol of Antimonium crudum 6c, twice a day and Hepar sulph 200, every other day.

The infection continued to grow and spread to other parts of his body, but I was encouraged by my sister who had gone through the same thing recently to stick with the remedies. It was scary to watch the infection spread, but by day 8 he started to show visible improvement and some of the sores began to dry up.

Meanwhile, he also acquired ringworm and poison ivy all over his legs! He had 3 different skin ailments going on simultaneously and homeopathy uprooted them all beautifully within a few weeks. I thank God for His healing. ~ E. R.
